Worship Where All are welcome

We invite you to come check out a worship service. We know that going to a new church can be confusing and intimidating, so we try to do things in a way where you’ll feel welcome and not like an outsider. When you come, you can participate at the level you feel comfortable!

Worship Style

We strive to provide a quality traditional worship experience. The majority of the year you will find a full choir and songs presented from the United Methodist Hymnal as well as The Faith We Sing. We believe that worship is an interactive group effort and is enriched with prayer, liturgy, and the sacrament of holy communion each week.

First Time Visitors and Seasonal Worshipers - Special Note

During the worship service, we offer a time if any first-time visitors or returning seasonal worshipers would like to introduce themselves and be welcomed with a gift bag. This gift bag contains information about the church and the various ministries available; also, it never hurts to start off worship with a bag of M&M's! We recognize some people love the opportunity to introduce themselves and that some people prefer a more personal and reflective worship experience. Whichever your preference, you are welcome at PSUMC and your preferences will be respected.

Family Friendly

No matter your family dynamics, you're welcome at Palm Springs United Methodist Church. Our goal is to serve the whole family.

  • Child Care - During our worship service, we have care available for infants and toddlers located in the Christian Education building lead by our Child Care Specialist Angelica.
  • Sunday School - During service, following the Joys and Concerns, the children and youth are invited to leave and participate in Sunday School in the Christian Education building.
  • Adult Education - Following Fellowship Time (approximately 11:15 am on Sundays) we offer Second Cup, an informal discussion group led by the Director of Christian Education where you can reflect and ask questions about the sermon and the service.

From the pulpit, you will hear sound preaching with the flare of a gifted storyteller. Pastor Jane Voigts brings the scriptures to life and opens up ancient wisdom for the modern world.

Fellowship Time

Following Sunday worship everyone is invited to go down to the Fellowship Hall for snacks, coffee, and fellowship. Whether you are just looking for a bit of caffeine before the drive home or hoping to meet some new people, you are encouraged to come and see.
