Getting Started:

Find a comfortable place where you can write and draw. Consider using crayons, colored pencils, or pens. Set aside approximately an hour to complete the entire devotional.

Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, begin to calm your heart and mind. Say a prayer inviting the Spirit to be a part of this journey with you.

Exercise 1: Mentor, Friend or Guide (Approx. 5–10 Minutes)

Draw, write, or visualize someone who has helped you through a challenging time in your life. Describe this person as if you are introducing them to someone who’s never met them. What do you think are the important details to include?

Exercise 2: Mentor/Mentee Friendship (Approximately 5-10 Minutes)

Think back to that mentor-mentee relationship. Spend time writing your response to this question. Why do you think that person chose to mentor you?

Exercise 3: How is your soul? (Approximately 5-10 Minutes)

What advice do you think your mentor might offer you today to help you through this season of your life?
